High-yield and quality rice accounts for 65.2% of cultivated area
(BNP) - According to report of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the 2020 crop season, the province cultivated 20,588.6 hectares of high-yield and quality rice, accounting for 65.2% of the total area, with an increase of 150.7 hectares compared to the 2019 crop season.

The large proportion of high yield and quality rice of Tu Son town, Tien Du district, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh city; Que Vo district is 1,850.9 ha (95% of the cultivated area), 3,504.3 ha (94.9%), 3,245 ha (83.2%), 1,392 ha (81.9%) and 5,500 ha (79.5%), respectively.
In addition, the province has built 12 models of new rice varieties, super-pure rice, high-yield and quality rice in the organic direction associated with product consumption in 8 out of 8 districts, town and city with a total area of 196 ha.
