Meeting in response to “Action Month for labor safety and Hygiene” 2018

Leaders of Ministry of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs and Bac Ninh PPC awards Certificate of Merit to typical collectives

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Hanh Chung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Tran Thi Hang, Deputy Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Members; representatives of Agency of Labor Safety (under Ministry of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs), relevant state departments and employees working for enterprises in industrial park.

So far, state management on labor safety and hygiene has been interested and closely directed by Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Council and Provincial People’s Committee. Professional units and agencies have well fulfilled their responsibilities and carried out lots of methods to enhance labor safety and hygiene in the province.

Implementing the slogan of Action month for labor safety and hygiene: "To proactively prevent and control dangerous and harmful factors to the workplace in order to limit occupational accidents and diseases", the province will focus on improving the state management capacity, awareness and observance of the law on labor safety and hygiene of employers and employees, on promoting propagandizing and training on labor safety and hygiene in 2018. Apart from those actions, actively assisting enterprises in tasking measures to improve working conditions, to reduce environmental pollution and to prevent serious occupational accidents fire and occupational disease will be conducted.

At the meeting

Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman of PPC Nguyen Van Phong emphasized that there are now 16 industrial parks, 24 industrial clusters, 140 handicraft villages, of which there are 62 traditional handicraft villages, 1,194 FDI enterprises, 11,250 domestic enterprises, and 392,500 employees, of whom more than 291,000 working in industrial zones.

In order to turn the work of labor safety and hygiene into a regular activity of all levels, sectors, employers and employees, Vice Chairman requested authorities to further propagandize purposes, significances and contents of Action month for Labor safety and hygiene in 2018, and provisions of the Law and guiding documents of central, provincial agencies on labor safety. Furthermore, it is needed to strengthen the state management, labor safety inspection, especially in the high-risk industries, small and medium enterprises, craft villages, to strictly handle seriously, promptly and publicly the infringing enterprises and individuals on mass media.
