More than 1,500 runners join race in response to ASIAD 19

(BNP) - On March 8, at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Olympic Committee and Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports jointly held a running program in response to the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19).


Delegates participated in a run to respond to ASIAD 19.

Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Ha Viet, Director General of the General Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee; representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), ASIAD 19 in Hangzhou (China), the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The program attracted more than 1,500 officials, teachers, students, and athletes of Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports to participate in the response. In addition, the program also organized cultural and sports exchange activities to introduce activities of the Vietnam Olympic Movement, the Asian Olympic Movement, program of sports competitions at the Games, information about the host city of ASIAD 19- Hangzhou (China), as well as the history of sports development of each country, region and continent.

As planned, the ASIAD 19 will take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023 in Hangzhou, China with the participation of thousands of runners from 45 Asian countries and territories. Athletes will compete in 40 subjects with 482 events, taking place across 55 competition venues. The Organizing Committee mobilized more than 38,000 volunteers to serve the Congress.
