Offering incense to report on naming of Duong River Overpass

Participants in the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong; leaders of Provincial Propaganda and Training  Committee; Cultural and Social Committee, Provincial People's Council; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Transport; and Thuan Thanh town.

According to legend, Kinh Duong Vuong founded the Vietnamese country. The Kinh Duong Vuong temple and tomb in A Lu hamlet, Dai Dong Thanh commune, Thuan Thanh town has long been classified as the temples to worship the kings.

Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong and participants respectfully offered incense and flowers at Kinh Duong Vuong's temple and tomb to express their gratitude for his merits. They also requested that Duong River Overpass was named after Kinh Duong Vuong to forever remember the “Thủy tổ” (nation's ancestors); pray for Bac Ninh province to be rich, strong, and civilized…

Kinh Duong Vuong bridge.

The project of building Duong River Overpass connecting Tien Du district and Thuan Thanh town is an important project of Bac Ninh province that began in 2018 and is now nearly completed. The bridge is more than 1.5km long, with a cross section of 22.5m wide and 25 spans. It begins in Canh Hung commune, Tien Du district, and ends in Dai Dong Thanh commune, Thuan Thanh town.

This is a key project of the province, connecting key traffic routes: national highway (NH)1 - NH17 - Provincial Highway (PH)287-NH38 and NH18, making an important contribution to completing the plan on transportation development in the northern key economic region, serving the socio-economic development of the capital region, directly are the provinces Bac Ninh - Hung Yen - Hai Duong - Bac Giang; connecting historical relics south of Duong River such as: Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb, Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Luy Lau Ancient Citadel with relics north of Duong River such as: Phat Tich Pagoda, Do Temple, Dinh Bang Communal House, Tieu pagoda… to facilitate the transportation of goods and exchange with neighboring areas and create a comprehensive transportation network in tandem with the planning of Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region.

A massive bridge-scale project requires a fitting name. Following careful deliberation, the Bac Ninh Provincial Council for Naming Roads, Streets, and Public Works has notified to competent authorities a plan to call it as "Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge".

On this occasion, at the memorial area of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu (Phu Khe ward, Tu Son city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism offered incense to announce the success of the television feature film "Dawn Ahead" on General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu which won the 2023 Silver Kite Award in the television feature film category.
