Attending at the meeting were Deputy Secretary of PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Bac Ninh City Party Committee Ta Dang Doan; leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors and Bac Ninh city.

According to Mr. Liu Yun, Weifang City has the second biggest land area in Shandong Province and is regarded as the cradle of China's agricultural industrialization as well as an important base for producing, processing and exporting quality agricultural products. In addition, this is a locality with a solid industrial foundation and the province's second largest industrial enterprise scale. The operations and profits of industrial enterprises ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Furthermore, this is one of the cities that opened a port early in China and has established economic and trade relations with 213 countries and regions.

On the other hand, Weifang is a land with profound cultural heritage and is the center of Dongyi culture - one of the important origins of Chinese civilization.

Speaking at the meeting, Liu Yun highly appreciated the development of Bac Ninh province as well as Goertrk Vina Company in Bac Ninh. He also thanked Bac Ninh province for constantly supporting and facilitating Goertek Vina Company to develop strongly over the past 10 years in the province. At the same time, Liu Yun respectfully invited the PPC’s Secretary and the provincial leaders to visit and work in Weifang city as soon as possible.

For his part, Secretary Tuan briefed on the province’s socio-economic development situation. Over the past time, Bac Ninh has made comprehensive development and achieved many outstanding achievements. At the same time, he affirmed that Chinese enterprises, particularly Goertek Vina Company, had made significant contributions to the development of Bac Ninh province.

Welcoming Weifang city and Bac Ninh city for having exchanges and discussions to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC). Tuan hoped that this MoC will soon be promoted and implemented effectively with many practical cooperation activities in the future, thereby, contributing to promoting the relationship between the two localities.

He expressed his hope to visit and work in Weifang city as soon as possible to witness with his own eyes the achievements in the local socio-economic development.
