Promoting cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in Bac Ninh province

(BNP) - In the morning of December 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference to meet tourism businesses and discuss the topic "Promoting the value of cultural heritage associated with tourism development in Bac Ninh province, period of 2022 - 2025, with orientation to 2030".

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Dap emphasized that Bac Ninh is a locality with a unique culture and convergence of many factors to develop different types of tourism such as: Cultural - festival tourism; community tourism from Quan ho villages, traditional craft villages, agriculture and rural areas…

Over the past time, Bac Ninh province paid attention to directing and assigning the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with other departments and agencies to take solutions to promote tourism and support enterprises in the field of tourism business and investment of the development of tourist attractions in the province; strengthen the connection and cooperation activities with localities throughout the country; host many national and international cultural, sports and tourism events to attract tourists… Especially, on September 19, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 406/QD-UBND approved the Project "Promoting cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in Bac Ninh province, period 2021 - 2025, orientation to 2030".

At the conference, participants and businesses exchanged and discussed a number of topics on Orientation to build specific tourism products in Bac Ninh province; promotion of value of Special National Monument, towards the development of a particular cultural tourism destination brand; digital transformation solutions in the tourism industry…

Previously, the delegates and businesses surveyed a number of tourist destinations and tourist service businesses in the province, including: Center for conservation and promotion of traditional cultural and folk art heritage value of Dong Ngu Water Puppetry and Luy Lau Folklore Conservation Area (Ngu Thai Commune, Thuan Thanh District); Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center (Song Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district); Dong Do cultural eco-tourism site (Lam Thao commune, Luong Tai district); Temple of Ly Thuong Kiet (Tam Giang commune, Yen Phong district); Viem Xa village tourist attraction and Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Song Theater (Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city).
