Provincial leader receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lao PDR in Vietnam

Joining the delegation were Ms. Phimpha keomixay, Consul General of Lao PDR in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nhuong thanked for the reception of Bac Ninh’s leader. He said that Laos is planning to implement an investment project in the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Urban Area. He hoped that, Bac Ninh province would continue to create favorable conditions for Lao businesses to learn and deploy the construction of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Urban Area in the province, symbol for the friendship between the two countries in general and Bac Ninh - Laos in particular in the coming time.

In his position, the Ambassador promised to actively advertise and introduce Laos' large enterprises and corporations to research and invest in Bac Ninh province, contributing to promoting the province's socio-economic development.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Phuong briefly informed about the results of the business trip of Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang in Lao PDR last June and outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development over the past time.

Currently, the province is submitting to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal of the adjustment project of Bac Ninh urban master plan to 2045 and the policy of adjusting the planning of the Northwest New Urban Area, Bac Ninh City. After the project is approved, an investor will be selected to implement the urban area in accordance with the order prescribed by law, Phuong added.

He hoped that the Ambassador would actively support the promotion of the unique cultural values, heritages and famous tourist destinations of Bac Ninh in Laos, be a bridge to introduce businesses to learn and invest in Bac Ninh as well as create conditions for businesses of Bac Ninh province to invest in Laos.

The Vice Chairman assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to act as the focal point, connecting and promoting investment in areas of strength between Bac Ninh and the localities of Laos.
