Provincial leaders congratulate the Provincial Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of Vesak 2018

Provincial leaders present flowers to congratulate Management Board of Provincial Buddhist Sangha

Attending the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phung Duc Chien, Chairman of Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, in charge of Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thu, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council and leaders of Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Training; and relevant departments and sectors.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Quat congratulated the Buddhist monks, nuns and followers for a joyful and blissful Vesak Day 2018 and hoped them to conduct well Buddhist affairs and pray for national security. In addition best regards given to monks and nuns, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee recognized and highly appreciated positive contributions of the Buddhist followers over the past years to fields of culture, education and social charity, contributing to the overall development of the province.

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat was pleased to announce that Bac Ninh is among provinces where hold rapidly growth rate with many leading indicators all over the country. In particular, rising people's standard and caring the elderly, the poor, families of war invalids and martyrs are paid more attention to. These results are thanks to not only efforts of the Party, authorities at all levels and all people in the province, but also important contributions of Management Board of Buddhist Sangha and the Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province.

In the coming time, the Deputy Secretary would like Provincial Buddhist Sangha to promote fine traditions of Buddhism, propagate and mobilize the Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to implement well guidelines of the Party, the State, to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, building the great national unity bloc, continue to accompany the province to complete the goal of building Bac Ninh into centrally-run city by 2022.

Venerable Thich Thanh Phung, Head of Management Board of Provincial Buddhist Sangha expressed his gratitude to provincial leaders for the attention and good wishes to Buddhism community, meanwhile expressed their determination to continuously promote the achievements and carry out the civic duties with the Fatherland, to successfully implement the tasks of socio-economic development of the province. Venerable Phung desired to receive more attention of the province so that  Provincial Buddhist Sangha accomplish its goals, contributing to making Bac Ninh province richer and more powerful.

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense to the Three Jewels of Dai Thanh Pagoda and performed Bathing of the Buddha's ritual in honor of the Buddha’s birthday, praying for national security, the development of the province.
