Provincial leaders exchange with Standing Committee of Tu Son town’s Party Committee

In the first 06 months of the year, the production value of industry and handicraft in town was estimated at over VND 41,300 billion, achieving 50.3% of the plan, increasing by 3.6% over the same period. Trade and services activities have been developed, for instance, the total turnover of retail rotation and services was calculated roughly at VND 5,684 billion, up 13% year-on-year. Total budget revenue in the town reached VND 752 billion, accounting for 56% of the yearly plan and climbing by 2.36% over the same period in 2017.

Tu Son town has completed the dossier for recognition of a grade-III urban area and been in the progress of submitting to the Ministry of Construction for an approval. Not only cultural and social activities but also the works of people’s health care, ensuring social security are enhanced and well implemented.

Speaking at the meeting, for the purpose to turn Tu Son town into the core city, central district when Bac Ninh province becomes a centrally-run city by 2022, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh suggested that the town should focus on renovation of management measures, strengthening urban order management, raising the sense of law observance, and building the civilized urban lifestyle.

On the key tasks in the last 06 months and the coming time, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee proposed Tu Son town to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, to launch patriotic emulation movement for welcoming the 20^th anniversary of re-establishment of the town and the 60^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s 5 visits to Bac Ninh Party, authorities and people, to closely follow the political tasks of the province by the definite tasks of the town on various fields.

The town needs to attract selectively investment projects, prioritize and make industry become the key economic growth, to promote the development of small industry and handicraft in the direction of a modern and sustainable manner, and to specifically pay attention to the development of Phu Khe and Dong Ky handicraft villages in association with the development of tourism, trade, and services. Moreover, it is needed to encourage the start-up and establishment of new enterprises, continue to support the removal of difficulties for enterprises in the locality.

Secretary of Provincial Party Committee also asked leaders of Tu Son to continue to develop a wide range of education and training, healthcare, culture, sport, employment, poverty reduction and social security, at the same time, strengthen building the Party, the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, maintain political security - social order and safety, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development in the town.
