Provincial leaders offer incense on occasion of 112th birthday of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu

(BNP) - On July 8, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies offered incense at the Memorial Area of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu (Phu Khe Ward, Tu Son City) and Nguyen Van Cu Park (Dai Phuc Ward, Bac Ninh City) on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu (July 9, 1912 - 2024).

Joining the delegation were Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the province, Tu Son city, Bac Ninh city and relatives of comrade Nguyen Van Cu.

PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu - an outstanding communist soldier, a key and outstanding leader of the Vietnamese revolution; one of the outstanding students of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding son of the nation and his hometown Bac Ninh, who fought and sacrificed his whole life for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

Nguyen Van Cu was born and raised in a homeland rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions. He became aware of the revolution at a young age. He joined the Indochinese Communist Party in 1929 and became its General Secretary in March 1938. He was an accomplished communist soldier, an excellent leader of the Party and the Vietnamese Revolution, and the one who oversaw the strategic adjustment that marked a watershed moment in the Vietnamese Revolution from 1938 to 1941. In particular, his book "Self-criticism" detailed significant ideological and theoretical difficulties concerning Party formation and consolidation, self-criticism, and critique, exhibiting sophisticated political thinking and increasing the Party's theoretical heritage

Learning from and following the example of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu, the Party Committee and people of Bac Ninh province vowed to promote revolutionary tradition, solidarity, and unity, promote patriotic emulation movements, and are determined to successfully complete goals and tasks, building Bac Ninh province to become increasingly rich, beautiful, modern, and civilized.

After the incense offering ceremony, PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation visited documents and artifacts at the original memorial house and the memorial house of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu (Phu Khe ward, Tu Son city).
