Provincial leaders receive and work with Ambassadors of Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy

(BNP) – In the morning of August 30th, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Province’s National Assembly Delegation received and worked with Delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassadors of Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy.

Provincial leaders presented gifts to the Ambassadors.

Attending the meeting were Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh; Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Huong Giang; Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of relevant departments and sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien warmly welcomed the Ambassadors to visit and work in Bac Ninh and desired them to work as a bridge to strengthen cooperation between Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy with Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh briefed on the province's geography, socio-economic development and historical-cultural traditions. Thank to favorable geo-political and economic location and long historical tradition, Bac Ninh is now one of the fast growing provinces with many leading targets in the whole country.

Bac Ninh is located in the economic development triangle of the northern, next to the Hanoi capital city and Noi Bai airport with national highways such as road No.01, No.18, No.38. For launching open investment policy, Bac Ninh has come to one of the provinces attracting most foreign direct investment (FDI) of the country. As of the beginning of the year to August 2017, the province has attracted USD 2.7 billion.  So far, Bac Ninh has totally attracted more than 1,000 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than USD 15.3 billion, notably, 05 projects worth nearly USD 100 million from the Netherlands and Italy. These enterprises has been interested and facilitated, contributing to the development of the province.

The Chairman addressed, in September, the high-level delegation of Bac Ninh province would have abroad business trip which aims to make a survey, learn on smart city model, high-tech agricultural production, especially processing of preserving food in Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy. Besides, he wished the ambassadors to invite businesses to invest in Bac Ninh and provide the information to the provincial delegation during the visit, thereby supporting the province to have a better orientation in building smart city and developing high-tech agricultural production.

Expressing the gratitude to the warm welcome of the provincial leaders, the Ambassadors would try to strengthen the tie between Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy with Vietnam in general, Bac Ninh province in particular and hoped that the province would get more information and choices on how to build smart city and apply high-tech agricultural production after the survey of high-level delegation.

Impressing Bac Ninh’s rich culture and economic development with many favorable geographic factors and open investment support policy, the Ambassadors affirmed that they would facilitate and encourage the enterprises to invest in Bac Ninh. Furthermore, the Ambassadors also introduced and exchanged information on the country, people of Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy with the leaders of the province and the delegates attending the meeting.
