Provincial People’s Committee meets with excellent students joining in national team selection to participate in regional and international Olympic competitions for 2024-2025 school year

Attending and encouraging the students were Mr, Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the PPC; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, and the PPC’s Office.

In the 2024-2025 National Excellent Student Competition, Bac Ninh province had 81/86 candidates winning prizes, accounting for 94.19%, ranking first in the country in terms of the percentage of candidates winning prizes. Of which, there were 12 first prizes, 34 second prizes, 24 third prizes, and 11 consolation prizes. Notably, the whole province had 4/14 national valedictorians and 2/15 national runners-up.

With 12 First prizes, the largest number ever, an increase of 01 First prize compared to the 2023 - 2024 school year; Bac Ninh province ranked 2nd among provinces and cities in terms of the number of First prizes (after Hanoi city, with 18 First prizes out of a total of 260 candidates taking the exam). The percentage of Bac Ninh candidates taking the exam winning First prizes ranked first nationwide at 13.95%. 06 subjects in Bac Ninh province with students winning First prizes include: Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, History, Geography and English; of which, History won 4 First prizes; Physics won 03 First prizes.

After the National Excellent Student Selection Exam for the 2024-2025 school year, based on the scores set by the Ministry of Education and Training for each subject, Bac Ninh province had 13 candidates summoned to compete in the national team selection to participate in the regional and international Olympic competitions for the 2024-2025 school year.

Candidates from Bac Ninh province were summoned to the teams including: Math with 04 students: Truong Thanh Xuan, Le Dac Hoang Anh, Nguyen Ba Hung, Nguyen Duc Hieu; Physics with 6 students: Nguyen Cong Vinh, Ta Ngoc Minh, Nguyen Tran Hieu, Do Tien Minh, Nguyen Khoi Nguyen, Ha Tuan Kiet; Chemistry, Biology and Informatics each subject has 1 student, respectively: Ngo Quang Minh, Nguyen Duc Tuyen and Nguyen Ta Quang Minh.

To prepare for the selection round of national teams to participate in the Regional and International Olympic Competitions for the 2024 - 2025 school year, scheduled to take place from March 24 - 27, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements of the Education and Training sector, teachers and students in the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year. He affirmed that this is a worthy result for the efforts, struggles and unceasing determination of the Education and Training sector of Bac Ninh in general, teachers and students of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted in particular, thereby, continuing to affirm the quality and educational brand of the province.

The Vice Chairman also hoped that parents would continue to accompany, care for and encourage their children. Students should maintain good health, be confident and determined to enter the exam with the highest results to bring pride to themselves, their families, their schools, and make their homeland Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac famous.
