Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan works with Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Australia

(BNP) - On the afternoon of October 28, at the National Assembly Building, Hanoi Capital, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, worked with Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Long, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Australia.

Also attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; representatives from a number of departments, sectors and Amkor Technology Vietnam Company.

At the meeting, Professor, Dr. Nghiem Duc Long, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in Australia, said that the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts in Australia was established in 2023 on the basis of merging Intellectual Clubs and Vietnamese experts in the industry in Australian states and territories. Currently, the Association focuses on four main areas: Education and training and international relations; Science Exchange and Technology Transfer; Policy - Trade and Investment; Environment, Society and Administration

With knowledge and experience in science and technology, the association wished to contribute experience and initiatives to advise and accompany Bac Ninh province in implementing projects on manufacturing electronic components, semiconductor technology, supporting industries, providing clean and stable electricity and water, wastewater treatment, training human resources for logistics, semiconductor engineers, and AI. At the same time, there are long-term solutions to solve environmental issues for the sustainable development of the locality.

On behalf of the provincial authorities, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his satisfaction in attending the Vietnamese intellectuals' meeting in Australia. This is an opportunity to interact, exchange ideas, and improve ties between the Vietnamese community in Australia and Bac Ninh province. He appreciated the activities of the Association in Vietnam. At the same time, he expressed his hope to receive the attention, cooperation, and effective support of the Association to help Bac Ninh province effectively solve the issues that the locality is concerned about, especially in the field of environmental pollution treatment, providing clean water for the production of electronic components, semiconductor chip in the coming time.

The Secretary assigned the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority to soon make a green transformation and energy conversion plan in the industrial parks in the province, meeting the practical needs of businesses and for the sustainable development of the province. Tuan said that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will lead the coordination with relevant units to finalize the green Bac Ninh criteria in the Bac Ninh Urban Master Plan to 2045, which will be submitted to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
