Temple of First Doctoral Candidate Nguyen Xuan Chinh
(BNP) - The temple of First Doctoral Candidate (FDC) Nguyen Xuan Chinh is located in Doi Soc quarter, Phu Chan ward, Tu Son city. According to the family genealogy, the temple was built during the reign of King Le Than Tong, the 3rd year of Duc Long (1631). Over time, the temple has been regularly restored and protected, becoming a place for cultural and religious activities of the family and a place to commemorate and educate about the family's history, homeland and national traditions.

The temple is the place where the FDC Nguyen Xuan Chinh and the ancestors of the Nguyen Xuan family in Phu Chan village are enshrined. FDC Nguyen Xuan Chinh (1588-1676) was born in the year of Mau Ty. At the age of 50, he passed the Hoi Nguyen, Dinh Nguyen, and the FDC exam in the Dinh Suu exam in the Duong Hoa 3 (1637) era of Le Than Tong.

The temple preserves many typical artifacts.
Currently, the temple of FDC Nguyen Xuan Chinh consists of the following structures: the Front Ceremonial Hall and the Emperor’s Harem.

With many historical and cultural values, the temple of FDC Nguyen Xuan Chinh was ranked as a provincial-level memorial site of a famous person in Decision No. 165/CT, dated February 24, 1998.

On November 20, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed Decision No. 3541/QD-BVHTTDL recognizing Nguyen Xuan Chinh Temple as a national historical relic.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tu Son city award the Certificate of "National historical relic of Nguyen Xuan Chinh temple" to Phu Chan ward and Nguyen Xuan family.
On January 5, 2025, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Phu Chan Ward (Tu Son City) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of "National Historical Relic of Nguyen Xuan Chinh Temple".
