Xuan Loi Communal House

(BNP) - Xuan Loi communal house (Xuan Binh quarter, Dai Xuan ward, Que Vo town) was built during the Le dynasty (1722) and renovated during the Nguyen dynasty. Experiencing historical ups and downs, the architectural work has seriously degraded. In 2016, the communal house continued to be repaired and upgraded. Currently, Xuan Loi communal house still retains quite intact the ancient architecture of the Le and Nguyen dynasties.

Xuan Loi communal house is a common cultural and religious project of three villages: Ngu Dai, Cong Coi, and Xuan Binh, a place to worship the village's Tutelary God, Saint Tam Giang, who was instrumental in defeating the Luong invaders in the 6th century.

The communal house consists of Front Ceremonial Hall with an architecture of Chinese “Nhat” letter and Emperor’s Harem with an architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter.


 


 

Currently, at Xuan Loi communal house, many precious documents and artifacts are preserved such as: thrones, tablets, set of eight treasures, incense burners; ordination dates from 1845, 1850, 1886, 1909, 1924; steles, horizontal lacquered board, parallel sentences, stone turtles of the Nguyen Dynasty and so on.


The communal house retains many dating ordinations.

The physical traces and documents and artifacts still preserved at the relic site not only prove the history of the communal house's existence but are also precious documents of the homeland and country.

Xuan Loi communal house was recognized by the state as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic in Decision No. 1057/QD - UBND, dated August 12, 2008.
