11 communes of Luong Tai district reach 19 out of 19 new rural criteria

In 2018, the economic growth rate of the district reached 9.6%, increasing 2.1% compared with 2017. Among which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 4.1%; industry, cottage industry and construction at 13.4%; services at 9.7%. State budget revenue was estimated at VND 99,220 billion, reaching 125.3% of the plan, equaling 114.4% of the implementation in 2017; the rate of poor households was 1.99%, decreasing 0.63% compared to 2017.

Regarding the program on building new-style rural areas, Luong Tai district has 11 communes reaching 19 out of 19 new rural criteria. Of which, 8 communes have been met new-style rural area standards; 03 communes of An Thinh, Lai Ha, My Huong are completing the procedure; Binh Dinh commune met 15/19 criteria, Phu Luong commune met 16/19 criteria. The total number of criteria has reached 240 criteria, an average of 18.46 criteria/01 commune, increasing 1.84 criteria/01 commune compared with the same period in 2017.
