200 Japanese cherry trees presented to Bac Ninh province

(BNP) – In the morning of March 13th, a ceremony was held at Nguyen Van Cu Park in the northern province of Bac Ninh to receive and plant 200 cherry trees presented by as gifts by presented by the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Association’s chapter in the Chukyo region.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Japanese MP Kaneko; Asaduma Sinnichi, Minister at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Chairman of Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo region along with leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors and Bac Ninh city.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, leader of of Bac Ninh City People's Committee thanked the Japan’s attention and sentiment to Vietnam in general, Bac Ninh province in particular, and thanked the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Chukyo region bringing the friendship and color of Japan to Bac Ninh city. The plantation of cherry trees will contributed to popularizing Japan’s images, culture and people to Bac Ninh residents and enhancing mutual understanding between the people of the two nations, he added.
 
After the ceremony of receiving 200 Cherry trees from the Chukyo Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, delegates planted trees at Nguyen Van Cu Park.

 Early 2017, Bac Ninh City received 100 Cherry trees from Chukyo Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association and planted at Nguyen Van Cu Park, thereby, affirming the strong friendship between Japan and Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular.
