2023 Open Football Tournament of Tu Son City Education and Training Sector kicks off

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the City People’s Committee, relevant departments, more than 200 athletes and a large number of football fans in Tu Son city.

Held annually, starting in 2022, the Tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22).

This year’s tournament attracted 8 men’s football teams and 2 women’s football teams from the Department of Education and Training, the Medical Center, the Military Command of the city and the coalition of primary and secondary schools in the city. In men’s football, the teams were divided into 2 tables, competed in a round-robin tournament, and the First and Second teams of each table would advance to the next round. For women’s football, 2 teams competed in an away match and a home match to determine the First and Second teams of the Tournament.

Immediately after the ceremony, the away match of women’s football between the Secondary School Coalition and the Primary School Coalition as well as 4 matches of men’s football took place.

According to the Plan, the tournament will be held in the afternoons after the working time. The closing and award ceremony will take place on December 22, 2023.
