2024 Bac Ninh Culinary - Craft Village Tourism Festival opens

(BNP) – As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Bac Ninh Culinary - Craft Village Tourism Festival on November 14, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center.

The festival attracted the participation of 100 booths introducing culinary tourism and craft village products of 18 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region and localities such as: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Bac Can, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang.

Coming to the festival, visitors learn about the unique cultural heritages, tourist attractions, tours, typical tourist routes, traditional craft village products, famous culinary products of Bac Ninh and other regions as well as experience the production processes of some traditional crafts such as: bronze casting, making Dong Ho folk paintings, or preparing some traditional dishes.

In addition, there are also tourism promotion activities, exchanges between localities, and performances of traditional folk art forms..., thereby, attracting people and tourists to visit, admire cultural and culinary products and enjoy special art programs with smooth and soulful Quan Ho melodies of Kinh Bac.

This is the 4th time, the festival has been held to introduce to the people and tourists from all over the world the unique cultural features and the potential of culinary tourism and craft villages of Bac Ninh, aiming to upgrade and renew the province's tourism products. At the same time, it also creates opportunities for localities and travel businesses to exchange and learn from development experiences, improve service quality and effective tourism business, create conditions for cooperation, linkage, and promote tourism development of Bac Ninh with provinces and cities across the country.

Immediately after the ribbon cutting ceremony, delegates visited the exhibition booths and introduced the products. The festival will take place from now until November 18, 2024.
