24th Red River Delta Fine Arts Exhibition opens

Secretary of Provincial Party Committee awards the prizes to award-winning works of Bac Ninh Fine Arts Awards.

The fine art exhibition is an annual activity of the art community in the Red River Delta region with an aim to creating conditions for art activities to expand widely through the works that show good traditional cultural values, socio-economic achievements of the region and the country. This is also an opportunity to encourage artists, members and collaborators of fine arts to continue to create the high artistic value works.

This year's exhibition attracted the participation of 195 artists with 213 paintings, graphic and sculptural works vividly featuring the fields of the lives, the country and people in the Northern Delta region. Among which, there are 102 works of members of Vietnam Fine Arts Association and 111 works of the Literature and Arts Association of the Red River Delta.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee emphasized that this is the third time Bac Ninh province hosted the Fine Arts Exhibition in the Red River Delta. The exhibition is an opportunity for Bac Ninh province in particular and the Red River Delta provinces in general to exchange culture and share experiences in art creation activities as well as an advertise cultural and people images and the economic strength of Bac Ninh province to domestic and foreign tourists.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded one A prize, one B Prize, one C Prize and 6 Consolation prizes for outstanding works in order and introduced 36 works to attend the Alliance of Arts and Literature Associations of Vietnam. Besides, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded prizes award-winning works of Bac Ninh Fine Arts Prize in 2019.

The 24th Red River Delta Fine Arts Exhibition is held from August 21^st to August 30^th 2019.
