Provincial leaders work with Saigontourist
(BNP) - In the afternoon of August 14th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with Saigontourist on consulting tourism development in Bac Ninh province.

Leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism showed that Bac Ninh tourism potential is generalized in 7 typical characteristics including the homeland of Quan Ho folk songs - World Cultural Heritage; spiritual culture; cultural history; festival; academics; craft villages and architecture.
As of the end of July 2019, the province had 640 units operating tourism business, among which, 619 tourist accommodation establishments, 4 international travel business units, 7 domestic travel business units; 3 5-star hotels, more than 30 hotels from 1 to 4 stars. The formation of a high-class hotel chain contributed to changing the appearance of the urban landscape and enhancing the tourism image of the province.
In 2018, Bac Ninh reached more than 1.3 million tourists, with an increase of 6.8 times compared to 2010; revenue from tourism reached VND 855 billion, up 6.8 times compared with 2010.
Based on analyzing the potentials and strengths of tourism in the province, in the coming time, Bac Ninh needs to make a strategy to develop a long-term tourism; actively advertise Bac Ninh’s image tourism to prestigious travel agencies; have mechanisms and policies to create favorable conditions for investors; cooperate with major media agencies; focus on human resource training…
Speaking at the conclusion of meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong urged functional departments and agencies to review the contents to build the Bac Ninh Tourism Development Project. In particular, the units need to concentrate on solutions such as infrastructure investment for tourist sites, heritage sites; build large-scale entertainment spots; build a specialized website on tourism introduction; train quality human resources with the goal of tourism becoming an important economic sector of the province, he added.
