Bac Ninh builds and replicates agricultural extension models

Accordingly, in 2025, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Provincial Center for Agricultural Extension and High-tech Agricultural Development to preside over and coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to promote information and propagandize the Central and Provincial policies on agricultural extension; promote and replicate typical agricultural extension models in the province. They organize agricultural seminars and workshops; participate in domestic agricultural product and OCOP exhibitions. The agencies provide training, transfer technical advances, visit and learn from domestic agricultural extension models, etc.

For model building, the Provincial Center for Agricultural Extension and High-tech Agricultural Development builds a chili production model for the product consumption chain; potato production for the development of raw potato processing areas to improve economic efficiency. The Center uses biological products to treat straw in rice production in a circular direction. It also applies the growth regulator Brassinolide in rice production to adapt to climate change; high technology using biological products to limit black rot disease in Phalaenopsis orchid production to improve economic efficiency.

Agricultural extension activities contribute to shifting the agricultural economic structure towards developing commodity production, improving productivity, quality, food safety, meeting domestic and export demands. At the same time, these activities improve production and business efficiency, increase farmers’ income, and promote local socio-economic development.
