In 2021:

GRDP (at 2020 constant prices) was estimated at VND 39,399.4 billion, exceeding 0.9% of the plan, up 7% compared to 2020.

Total state budget revenue in the area was estimated at VND 5,472.1 billion, reaching 92.5% of the estimate, equaling 94.3% compared to 2020.

City budget revenue was estimated at VND 3,242.3 billion, reaching 166% of the estimate, equaling 97.3% compared to 2020.

City budget expenditure was estimated at VND 2,008.1 billion, reaching 99% of the estimate, equaling 85.2% compared to 2020.

The percentage of model families reached 94.05%, the cultural quarter reached 95.6%.

Social security work is focused, ensuring preferential subsidies for people with meritorious services, visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households and workers. The city created jobs for 4,300 employees, reaching 86% of the year plan.

In term of education: The number of schools meeting the national standard level I was 71 schools, and the schools reaching the level 2 standard are 62 schools. The city is recognized as the standard for universalization of primary and secondary education level 3, level 2 illiteracy eradication.

The rate of poor households decreased to 0.62%; the number of near-poor households accounts for 0.96%.

In 2020:

City budget revenue was estimated at VND 3,239.2 billion, reaching 170% of the assigned estimate, equal to 97% compared to the previous year.

City budget expenditure is estimated at VND 2,356 billion, reaching 124% of the estimate and equaling 71% compared to 2019.

GRDP at constant prices in 2010 reached VND 36,834.8 billion, reaching 97.4% of the plan, an increase of 3.6% compared to 2019 and accounting for about 30.3% of the province's GRDP.

In 2019:

Total city budget revenue was estimated at VND 5,426 billion. Economic growth rate reached 10.2% (reaching the year plan). The poverty rate was 0.8%.

Currently, in the city, there are 9 trade centers and supermarkets, about 190 restaurants to meet the dining, shopping and entertainment needs of people such as VinCom Plaza, Dabaco Supermarket, Dien May Xanh ...

In term of history and culture: The city has 90 ranked relics, including 40 national monuments and 50 provincial relics, typically Ba Chua Kho Temple, Bac Ninh Temple of Literature, and King Ba Temple. - The ancestors of the family....

In term of education and training: The city has 73 schools at all levels, 100% reaching national standard schools; There are 09 universities and colleges located in the area. City education for 7 consecutive years, maintaining the title of the leading unit of the province's flag has affirmed the right step and the attention and care of the city's Party committee and government with education and training work.

On December 25, 2017, Bac Ninh city was recognized as a grade I urban center, directly under Bac Ninh province.
