Bac Ninh strengthens propaganda work to ensure food safety
(BNP) - The Provincial Food Safety Management Authority issued a Document on strengthening propaganda work to ensure food safety in the province.

The document clearly states that the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority has developed and implemented a plan to monitor food contamination hazards in 2024 in the province, conduct food hazard monitoring sampling by group in the market, and collect food contamination hazard monitoring samples through inspections, checks and monitoring of festivals and events in the province.
Based on the results of monitoring the risk of contamination in 2024, a number of unsafe food samples remain in the province, with test results exceeding the maximum allowable limits according to regulations such as: Nem Bui (unsatisfactory indicators: total aerobic bacteria 95%; E.coli 40%; Salmonella 35%); ham and sausage (unsatisfactory indicators: total aerobic bacteria 21%; E.coli 12%; Salmonella: 7.5%); ready-to-eat processed meat (unsatisfactory indicators: total aerobic bacteria 30%; E.coli 25%; Salmonella: 4%); meat and meat products that must be heat-treated before use (unsatisfactory indicators: E.coli 48%; Salmonella: 50%).
To ensure food safety and protect the health of people in the province, the Provincial Food Safety Management Authority requests the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to strengthen propaganda and dissemination to farmers and initial production establishments to ensure conditions on cultivated land, water sources, planting locations, and livestock breeding locations; strictly comply with regulations on the use of fertilizers and plant protection chemicals in cultivation, and the use of feed in livestock breeding to raise awareness of initial production establishments and people to ensure the provision of safe food products to consumers.
Media agencies promote propaganda on mass media about food safety conditions in cultivation, livestock, production, processing and trading of food to raise awareness, consciousness and responsibility of food producers and traders. They also develop and broadcast reports, news, articles and propaganda articles to food producers and traders about food contamination hazards in the process of food production and trading and to consumers about the selection, preservation and use of safe food.
