Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan receives and works with Bac Ninh Fellow-countrymen Association in Czech Republic
(BNP) - On February 17, at the headquarters of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee received the Bac Ninh Fellow-countrymen Association in the Czech Republic led by Mr. Dang Dinh Thinh, Chairman of the Association, who returned to visit their homeland on the occasion of the 2025 At Ty Spring.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the provincial departments and sectors also attended the reception.
Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan welcomed the Association to visit its homeland. He briefed on the province’s achieved outstanding results in 2024, with many indicators among the top in the country such as: total GRDP, industrial production scale, FDI attraction, State budget revenue, per capita income, etc. The fields of education - training, people’s health care and social security were paid attention. Political security, social order and safety were maintained. People’s lives were increasingly improved. Currently, the province is directing the successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term and focusing resources on upgrading Bac Ninh into a centrally-run city in 2026.

Tuan affirmed that the Vietnamese community abroad, including the Czech Republic, is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation and Bac Ninh province. He hoped that the Association would promote the achieved results, make efforts to build a united community, and develop more and more strongly. In particular, it needs to promote the tradition of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac, a cultured and revolutionary homeland, which always looks towards the homeland, and be a solid bridge in the Vietnam - Czech friendship, he added.
The Association focuses on preserving the Vietnamese language among the young generation of overseas Vietnamese, integrating deeply into the local society, and contributing resources to the homeland’s development. At the same time, it promotes the role of a bridge that is introducing and connecting Czech investors to Bac Ninh, especially in the fields which Bac Ninh is prioritizing to attract investment such as high-tech industry, services and trade. It actively introduces and promotes the traditional cultural values of Bac Ninh homeland, typically Quan Ho folk songs and Dong Ho folk paintings to many international friends. Therefore, these activities contribute to make Bac Ninh province to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

For his part, Mr. Dang Dinh Thinh respectfully thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome and expressed his joy at the province’s recent outstanding achievements in socio-economic development. At the same time, he said that currently, there are more than 100,000 Vietnamese people living and studying in the Czech Republic, among them, Bac Ninh has about 1,000 people. Established in 2014, over the years, the Association has always promoted the tradition of solidarity and mutual support in life and work. It regularly organized exchange programs, meetings, and summer camps to preserve and promote the traditional values of the homeland and country and actively participated in supporting activities to ensure social security in the province.

In June 2024, within the framework of the cultural promotion program in Europe, a delegation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism visited and worked with the Association. The delegation successfully organized a performance of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs and introduced Dong Ho folk paintings at the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Association, thus leaving many good impressions.
The Association hoped to receive the attention and support of provincial leaders, departments, branches, and localities so that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic can grow stronger and stronger. It also actively participates and contributes effectively in economic, cultural and social development cooperation, diplomatic corps, and people’s diplomacy, thereby, building Bac Ninh province to be more and more prosperous and civilized.
