Country soul in Duc Thinh Pottery

Phu Lang is famous for its long-standing pottery production, experiencing the ups and downs of history, especially in the 90s of the twentieth century, Phu Lang pottery village suffered from fierce competition of household plastic products. With their passion for their craft and creativity, many people of Phu Lang village have made great efforts to learn and create a new look for traditional products of the village, starting from diversifying products and models, meeting the needs of domestic and foreign customers.

The unique feature that makes the success of Duc Thinh ceramics is that on the traditional glaze background. There has been creativity in mixing many different colors such as brown, black brown, light yellow, dark yellow, golden brown... with decorative drawings on themes of village scenery, Vietnamese folklore, closeness to nature, praising productive labor, and the beauty of the homeland and the country.

Some typical products of Duc Thinh pottery facility are rice drunken statue - pounding rice; double feng shui water hyacinth; fortune potion; ceramic paintings and mother-daughter statues... All Duc Thinh ceramic products have the beauty of "country soul".

Currently, Duc Thinh ceramic products are preferred by many domestic and foreign customers to order and have been exported to the US and Korean markets... In 2020, the establishment's revenue reached nearly VND 2 billion, creating stable jobs for nearly 10 employees with an average income of 7-8 million VND/person/month.

In 2021, Duc Thinh pottery facility was selected to participate in the program of one product per commune, ward and town in Bac Ninh province (OCOP). This will be an opportunity to bring Duc Thinh ceramic products as well as Phu Lang pottery village products to more and more development, contributing to socio-economic development, building a new face for the homeland in the integration period.
