Delegation of Bac Ninh province pays respects for victims of Jeju Air plane crash at Korean Embassy
(BNP) – On the morning of January 3, 2025, a Bac Ninh provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies visited the Korean Embassy in Hanoi to pay respect to and sign the condolence book for the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash in Korea on December 29.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority, the Offices of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan sent his heartfelt condolences to the country and people of Korea as well as the families of the victims in the Jeju Air plane crash. The Secretary wrote in the condolence book: “Bac Ninh Province would like to express our deepest condolences to the country and people of Korea as well as the families of the victims in the Jeju Air plane crash. We expressed our solidarity with the Korean people and believed that you would overcome this profound loss".
The provincial delegation expresses condolences to the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam.
Jeju Air's Boeing 737-800 flight 7C2216 from Bangkok (Thailand) to South Korea on December 29 crashed while landing. The plane skidded off the runway and collided with a fence before bursting into flames.
The plane crash on December 29 claimed 179 lives, leaving only two survivors in critical condition. On the same day, Acting President Choi declared a seven-day period of national mourning to commemorate the victims./.
