Delegation of Kanagawa province (Japan) visits and works in Bac Ninh

(BNP) – In the afternoon of November 20th, a delegation of Kanagawa province led by Mr. Hideyuki Takano, Director of International Cooperation Agency, Kanagawa Department of Tourism (Japan) came to visit and work in Bac Ninh.

At the meeting, Mr. Hideyuki Takano gave an overview of the socio-economic situation of Kanagawa province, and said that in recent years, the cooperation between localities of Vietnam in general with Kanagawa province has developed very actively. The annual organization of the Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa and the Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi has attracted hundreds of thousands of people with many cultural and tourist exchange activities.

In the coming time, he hoped that Bac Ninh province will actively participate in Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa and Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi to further strengthen the cooperation relationship between the two provinces. He also pledged to act as a bridge to introduce businesses of Kanagawa province to invest in Bac Ninh.

At the reception, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong briefly introduced a number of outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development. Currently, there are more than 1,600 FDI projects with a total investment of about USD 18.3 billion. In particular, Japan is the country with the second largest number of FDI projects with nearly 100 projects and total investment of about USD 1.2 billion.

On the basis of the relationship and co-operation between Vietnam and Japan, the Vice Chairman hoped that Bac Ninh and Kanagawa would establish the close and regular exchange and support relationships in all fields as well as act as a bridge to introduce Japanese businesses to learn about investment in the province. Besides, he affirmed that Bac Ninh province will actively participate in cultural and tourism activities at the Kanagawa Festival in the coming years to further strengthen the cooperation relationship between the two provinces, contributing to the development of the two countries.
