Expand Pho Moi urban and adjacent areas to more than 15,500 hectares

(BNP) - Provincial People's Committee has just signed Decision No. 493/QD-UBND approving the task of adjusting the master plan of Pho Moi urban and adjacent areas (Que Vo urban), Que Vo district to 2040.

According to the Decision, Pho Moi urban and adjacent areas will be expanded the planning scope to the entire administrative boundary of Que Vo district with a total natural area of about 15,511 hectares (add 3 communes of Chi Lang, Han Quang and Yen Gia).

Among which, the inner city area includes 11 commune-level administrative units with a total area of about 7,150 ha, namely Pho Moi township and Bang An, Cach Bi, Phuong Mao, Phuong Lieu, Dai Xuan, Viet Hung Bong Lai, Phu Luong, Que Tan and Nhan Hoa communes. The suburban area consists of remaining 10 communes with a total area of about 8,335ha, including Viet Thong, Phu Lang, Mo Dao, Ngoc Xa, Dao Vien, Duc Long, Chau Phong, Chi Lang, Han Quang and Yen Gia communes. The current population is about 195,666 people and it is forecasted that by 2040 about 350,000 people.

On the other hand, the plan also adds Que Vo II Industrial Park - phase 2 in Duc Long commune and Chau Phong commune with an area of about 277ha and Cach Bi Industrial Cluster with an area of about 75ha together with technical and social infrastructure to meets the standards of the town and the district as prescribed.
