(BNP) - Ha Giang communal house in Tam Tao village, Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district was built in the Le Dynasty (1724). Over time, conflict, and many periods of restoration and adornment, the communal house has retained its historic architecture, becoming a center of cultural events and local people's beliefs.


 

The Ha Giang communal house is a place to worship four tutelary gods, two generals Dao Dat and Dao Minh, who helped fight the enemy to help the country during the time of Thuc An Duong Vuong, and worship Mr. and Mrs. Tran Quy - Phuong Dung, who helped King Ly Cong Uan when he died. The communal house currently has the following works: “Nghi Môn” (alter-curtain) “Tiền tế” (Front Ceremonial Hall), “Đại đình” (Great Communal Hall) and ancillary works.


The communal house’s gate is built according to traditional architecture.


In front of the communal house is a clear blue pond, creating a cool atmosphere for the monument.


Front Ceremonial Hall has 3 compartments.


 

The Great Communal Hall has an architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter including: “Đại bái” and “Hậu cung”. “Đại bái” consists of 3 rooms and 2 lean-stones.


“Hậu Cung” has 2 compartments.



 

Ha Giang communal house still preserves many valuable documents and artifacts such as thrones, tablets, altars, bronze trays, incense bowls, etc., in the 19th century.


In the communal house's grounds, there is an ancient Rice tree over 200 years old, providing shade for the communal house's grounds.


To the right of the communal house is the Guest House, where the villagers prepare for the ceremony…

Every year, the Ha Giang communal house festival is held from the 9th to the 11th day of the 9th lunar month. The communal house is ranked as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic according to Decision No. 1048/QD-UBND, dated September 17, 2015.
