Lam Duong Pagoda - Lam Son Tu

During the resistance war against the French, 2 compartments of Thuong Dien were demolished. In 1946, the villagers rebuilt the pagoda as a place to worship Buddha. In 1995, the villagers restored 2 compartments of Thuong Dien. Over time, the pagoda has continued to exist with its present spacious appearance.

The surrounding walls are carved with floral and stylized landscapes.

The pagoda faces Southeast with Lam Duong communal house on the right and Lam Lang market and newly planned residential areas on the left.

Currently, Lam Duong Pagoda includes Tam Bao (Three Jewels) and Nha Mau (Mother House). Tam Bao has the architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter, including 3 compartments of Tien Duong (Front Ceremonial Hall) and 2 compartments of Thuong Dien.

The pagoda roof is designed with exquisite patterns.

The 3-compartments of Front Ceremonial Hall is made from ironwood with sophisticated pattern designs.

Like other pagodas, Lam Duong Pagoda worships Buddha and Mother Goddesses.

The pagoda is the center of community cultural activities. On full moon days, the first days of the month, holidays, Lunar New Year, Vu Lan Buddha's birthday (April 15), full moon day of July... local people come to the pagoda to worship Buddha and convey their wishes for themselves and their families.

Lam Duong Pagoda was ranked as a historical and cultural relic by the Provincial People's Committee, Decision No. 1031/QD-UBND dated August 8, 2010.
