National Karate Championship: Bac Ninh wins 2 gold medals
(BNP) - After 2 days of competition (October 10-11), Bac Ninh Karate team won 2 gold medals and 3 bronze medals at National Karate Championship 2020.

The National Karate Championship took place from October 9-13 at the Provincial Multi-Purpose Stadium and attracted nearly 300 athletes from 31 provinces and cities and the police and military sectors. The athletes competed in 2 categories including kumite and kata. Bac Ninh team has 10 athletes competing in the kumite category.
Up to this point, Hanoi team is temporarily leading with 13 medals of all kinds (5 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 6 bronze medals); the police ranked second with 9 medals (3 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 2 bronze medals); the army ranked third with 8 medals (2 gold medals, 6 silver medals).
Bac Ninh province ranked seventh with 2 gold medals and 3 bronze medals. Among which, athletes Nguyen Dang Chien, born in 1999 (class 54kg) and Nguyen Van Nhat, born in 1996 (class 70kg) won the gold medal; athletes Ngo Van Hung, born in 1995, (class 48kg), Nguyen Van Hiep, born in 1995, (class 82kg) and Nguyen Tien Tung, born in 1995, (class 78kg) won the bronze medal.
