National Monument - Dieu Son Pagoda

(BNP) - Dieu Son Pagoda was built a long time ago at the foot of Deo mountain, in Trai hamlet, quarter 1, Thi Cau ward today. Over time and war, the pagoda has been restored and embellished many times in the years: 1871, 1894, 1959 and 2015.

Currently, Dieu Son Pagoda is located on an area of ​​nearly 1,000 m2. The South borders Dieu Son Temple, the East borders Hoang Quoc Viet Street, the West and North borders residential areas.

Dieu Son Pagoda is the center of religious activities of local people, built for a long time to worship Buddha, Mother Goddesses, and ancestors. Typical artifacts include: couplets of the Nguyen Dynasty; diaphragm; The Great Order of the Nguyen Dynasty; system of Buddha statues.

Dieu Son Pagoda is a monument with beautiful landscape, architecture and campus. The system of Buddha statues and worshiping objects in the temple are bold features of Vietnamese Buddhism.


 

Dieu Son Pagoda is classified as a National Historic Site according to Decision No. 168-VH/QD, dated March 2, 1990.
