PM attends plenary session on economic diplomacy at 32nd Diplomatic Conference
(BNP) - On the morning of December 21, within the framework of the 32nd Diplomatic Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized an online- plenary session on Economic Diplomacy to serve national development. Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech.

At Bac Ninh’s venue, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments and sectors attended.
The conference deeply grasped the Party's 13th National Congress policy on building an economic diplomacy to serve national development, taking people and enterprises as the center of service. Economic diplomacy work has taken steps to develop in a more comprehensive, substantive and effective direction.

It is also in the group of 40 largest economies in the world and the group of 30 economies with the largest trade as well as one of the three countries attracting the largest foreign investment in ASEAN and has an extensive and diverse economic connection network. At the Conference, representatives from ministries, sectors, localities, enterprises and Heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad focused on discussing and assessing the world economic prospects and investment trends of major countries and their impact on Vietnam's economy.
In his address, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and praised the results achieved in economic diplomacy, contributing to mobilizing human resource to serve the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

In the coming time, the PM requested ministries, sectors and localities to continue to firmly grasp the situation and advise the Party and State on building appropriate economic diplomacy strategies.

Immediately after the Conference, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang requested that the departments and sectors implement activities according to the tasks assigned by the province and the tasks assigned by the line ministry in the Government's Action Program on economic diplomacy for the period 2022 - 2026. She assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to promote investment promotion in the fields of high-tech industry, semiconductors, green investment, technology transfer and training of high-quality human resources.
Giang also assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office to organize and implement local cooperation activities, connect and effectively deploy economic diplomacy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies abroad, foreign representative agencies in Vietnam, international organizations, foreign business associations in Vietnam as well as the Department of Industry and Trade to focus on promoting export activities and improving the capacity of the province's supporting industries to meet the requirements of being a direct supplier to FDI enterprises.
