PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan visits Tan Cang Que Vo and Bac Ninh Customs Department

(BNP) - On February 15, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies visited and encouraged officials at Island Port (ICD) Tan Cang Que Vo of Saigon Newport Corporation and Bac Ninh Customs Department.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of some departments, branches and Que Vo town.

In 2023, Saigon Newport Corporation successfully organized the opening ceremony of ICD Tan Cang Que Vo; 2 new shipping lines opened codes, bringing the total number to 11; among them, 4 shipping lines opened destination port routes. It has gradually deployed and ensured the quality of logistics services for more than 30 customers who have been implementing contracts with an output of over 1,800 Teu and barge output grew by 38%.


The provincial leaders present gifts to Bac Ninh Customs Department.

Bac Ninh Provincial Customs Department is in charge of 3 provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen). In 2023, the Department promptly resolved enterprises’ problems related to customs procedures and professional processes, creating favorable conditions for their import and export activities. The unit handled procedures for more than 1 million customs declarations, import-export turnover reached USD 160.14 billion. It carried out import and export procedures for Tan cang Que Vo 123 declarations, with the main export items of cement and plywood; import items of machinery, equipment, raw materials for producing consumer goods, and so on.

Visiting ICD Tan Cang Que Vo and Bac Ninh Customs Department, PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan sent his best wishes to officials, employees, and laborers for a new year of health and happy families. He hoped that they would work in safe production with many innovations, contributing to the province’s development.

Tuan emphasized that in the context of general difficulties in 2023, the units have made efforts, become creative, and basically completed assigned tasks, contributing to the implementation of the province’s general socio-economic development goals. Especially, during the Tet holiday, the units have divided shift schedules to ensure import-export activities and customs procedures for enterprises and effectively serve the production and enterprise’s tasks.
