Program "Bac Ninh Cultural Space in Phu Quoc, Kien Giang" takes place in early December 2024

(BNP) - The program "Bac Ninh Cultural Space in Phu Quoc, Kien Giang" organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh, took place from December 6 - 8, 2024 at the Bamboo Legend area, Grand World square, Vinpearl Phu Quoc (Bai Dai hamlet, Ganh Dau commune, Phu Quoc city).


 

Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs - Representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

For the first time, Bac Ninh province hosted a cultural event in an international tourist attraction. The program is part of a series of activities commemorating the 15th anniversary of UNESCO's recognition of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, with the goal of promoting the image of Bac Ninh culture and people, strengthening propaganda, and introducing the brand to international tourists as a dynamic Bac Ninh, rich in cultural traditions and identity.

Visitors to the event will be able to discover and learn about unique cultural heritages, including ancient historical and cultural artifacts, lyrical Quan Ho folk tunes, and the joy and humor of water puppets performed by the creative artisans of the Dong Ngu village water puppetry....

Furthermore, 20 booths will be on display introducing the heritage of Dong Ho folk painting, Phu Lang pottery, Dai Bai bronze, Xuan Hoi bamboo and rattan weaving...; Quan Ho specialties and cuisine such as: Te cake from Cho village, Nem Bui Xa, Phu The cake, Khuc cake from Diem village, An Thinh garlic...

The program will bring to the people of the whole country and international tourists the unique cultural features of Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac, thereby helping them understand more about the beauty of the country, the Vietnamese people, and the cultural heritage values of the land of talented people—factors that have contributed to creating the cultural identity of Vietnam, making Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular an attractive and friendly destination on the world tourism map.
