(BNP) - On February 12 (January 15), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee led by Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee offered incense at Bac Ninh Temple of Literature (Quarter 10, Dai Phuc Ward, Bac Ninh City) on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty - 2025.

The delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to Confucius, Tu Phoi, and the sages, philosophers, and scholars of Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac with the wish that all Bac Ninh people enjoy prosperity, peace, wisdom, progress in their studies, strive to cultivate virtue and talent, and be worthy of continuing the tradition of studiousness and academic achievements of their homeland, and build Bac Ninh province into a civilized, modern, and rich-in-identity developed province.

Confucianism is a significant school of human civilization that has had a profound impact on human life and serves as the benchmark for perfecting the character of a gentleman. Bac Ninh has a history of studying and passing tests. During the Le So period, the Temple of Literature was built to honor Confucius, Tu Phoi, and other renowned scholars in order to promote education and the development of gifted individuals. Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh has produced numerous bright and ethical intellectuals throughout the dynasties, illuminating the golden pages of the motherland and country's history.

The annual incense offering ceremony at Bac Ninh Temple of Literature honors the traditional historical and cultural values of Bac Ninh and encourages the Party Committee, government, and people to strive for a rich, beautiful, and civilized province.

Following the incense offering ceremony, the provincial leaders attended the spring writing ceremony; spoke with representatives of outstanding families of scholars and students. They wished the families to continue promoting the tradition of scholars as well as encouraged and motivated students to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers, strive to study, realize their dreams and ambitions, and constantly cultivate moral qualities to become good citizens and useful to society.

This year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed the Provincial Museum, Monument Management and Tourism Promotion Center to organize booths displaying traditional craft village products of Bac Ninh province, creating opportunities for tourists and students to visit and experience the craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings, Phu Lang pottery, Xuan Hoi bamboo and rattan weaving and perform the ritual of asking for the first words of the year from members of the Bac Ninh Calligraphy Club.
