Provincial leaders work with Saigon Newport Corporation
(BNP) - On February 17, a delegation led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Dao Hong Lan visited and worked with Saigon Newport Corporation at Saigon Newport Corporation in ICD Tan Cang Que Vo.

Joining the delegation were Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; leaders of departments and sectors of the province and Que Vo district.
Saigon Military Port - Saigon Newport Corporation is the Navy’s defense-security enterprise. In 2019, the Corporation in coordination with enterprises in Bac Ninh invested and expanded the ICD Tan Cang Que Vo in Kieu Luong hamlet, Duc Long commune (Que Vo district). Up to now, ICD Tan Cang Que Vo has completed 3 berths that can simultaneously receive 6 barges of 160 Teu type (3,000 tons). It is expected that by the end of 2023, more 3 hectares will be deployed for construction of a CFS warehouse or a container yard. Since the end of August 2020, ICD Tan Cang Que Vo has received 502 shipments, with a throughput of more than 17,300 Teu. It is expected that in 2022, the total service output will reach more than 66,500 Teu with a total revenue of VND 83 billion.
The Corporation proposed province and functional agencies to control the load, ensure security and order, traffic safety as well as inspect goods at the inland port; give opinions to the Government, the Ministry of Transport and Hai Phong city on freeing seaport infrastructure for goods transported by inland waterway at the ports in Hai Phong port cluster; complete the remaining phase of the project; make a plan to expand ICD Tan Cang Que Vo to meet the needs of warehousing and logistics infrastructure for the economic development of the province in the coming time...
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Lan and Chairwoman Giang highly appreciated the capacity of Saigon Newport in investing in Bac Ninh, thus opening up good opportunities for both sides as well as developing this place to become a regional logictis center, contributing to increasing budget revenue and creating jobs for workers. They hoped that the Corporation will continue to pay attention and invest to ICD Tan Cang Que Vo.
The Secretary assigned departments and branches to early solve issues related to the authority of the Central Government. The province will make a written proposal to the relevant ministries and branches for consideration and submission to the Government as soon as possible.
