Recognizing 8 communes in coastal areas to escape from situation of special difficulty
(BNP) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 1535/QD-TTg dated December 9, 2024 recognizing 08 extremely disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas in the 2021-2025 period in Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Ben Tre, and Kien Giang provinces to escape from the extremely difficult situation in 2024.

According to the Decision, 08 extremely disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas in the period of 2021 - 2025 in Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Ben Tre and Kien Giang provinces are recognized as having escaped from the extremely disadvantaged situation in 2024 and removed from the List of extremely disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas in the period of 2021 - 2025 in Appendix II issued together with Decision No. 353/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the list of poor districts and extremely disadvantaged communes in coastal and island areas in the period of 2021 - 2025 as follows:
Thanh Hoa Province (01 commune): Ngu Loc commune, Hau Loc district.
Quang Tri Province (03 communes): Hai An Commune, Hai Khe Commune of Hai Lang District and Gio Hai Commune of Gio Linh District.
Ben Tre Province (03 communes): Thanh Hai Commune, An Thanh Commune, An Qui Commune of Thanh Phu District.
Kien Giang Province (01 commune): Tho Son commune, Hon Dat district.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committees of the four provinces of Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Ben Tre, and Kien Giang to announce this Decision; prioritize and allocate local budgets to continue to fully implement poverty reduction policies and complete the infrastructure system at the commune and inter-commune levels to serve people's livelihood, production, and access to basic social services of communes recognized to have escaped the situation of extreme difficulty; maintain and improve the quality and results achieved by the criteria for assessing extremely difficult communes in coastal, alluvial and island areas in the period of 2021 - 2025, focusing on the criteria for the rate of poor and near-poor households, infrastructure to access basic social services, and serving people's livelihood to ensure sustainability when escaping the situation of extreme difficulty.
The People's Committees of the above 4 provinces are fully responsible before the law, the Prime Minister, the inspection and auditing agencies for the accuracy of information, data, content and implementation of solutions committed to proposing recognition of escaping the situation of special difficulty in 2024.
Decision No. 1535/QD-TTg takes effect from December 9, 2024.
