(BNP) – On the morning of December 12, Red Cross Emulation Cluster No. 2  of the Red River Delta provinces, the Red Cross Society and Farmers' Association of Tien Du district handed over a Humanitarian House to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut’s family in Phuc Nghiem village, Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district, who are a family in difficult circumstances.

Representatives from Emulation Cluster No. 2 of the Red River Delta provinces hand over the Humanitarian House to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut's family.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut’s family in Phuc Nghiem village, Phat Tich commune is near-poor and has difficult circumstances. The whole family of 5 people from 3 generations lives together in a dilapidated house whose roof was blown off by the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi).

The 50m2 house was solidly built with the financial and material support of the Red Cross Emulation Cluster No. 2 of the Red River Delta provinces as well as other units and organizations, along with family savings and additional loans for a total construction cost of about VND 250 million.

After nearly 2 months of construction, the house was completed and handed over to Ms. Ut's family just in time for Tet, helping her family in overcoming obstacles and stabilizing their lives

The program to support the construction of humanitarian houses for households in difficult circumstances is a traditional activity of practical significance that has been implemented by the Red Cross Emulation Cluster No. 2 for many years. In 2024, Bac Ninh province received support from the Red Cross Societies of the Cluster to build humanitarian houses for two disadvantaged households in Tien Du district.

Previously, the Red Cross Emulation Cluster No. 2 of the Red River Delta Provinces handed over the Humanitarian House to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung's family in Tu Chi village, Tan Chi commune, Tien Du district. Mr. Hung's situation is also very difficult; he lost his capacity to work due to the complications of a traumatic brain injury after a traffic accident. When storm Yagi made landfall, his old decaying house was blown off its roof.
