(BNP) - On September 19, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies received and worked with a high-ranking delegation of Cuban National Assembly led by Ms. Maria Mari Machado, Member of Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Vice President of Cuban National Assembly of People's Power and Council of State to visit Bac Ninh province.

Also attending the meeting were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Le Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; National Assembly deputies in Bac Ninh province and leaders of relevant departments and sectors.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan welcomed Vice President of Cuban National Assembly of People's Power and Council of State Maria Mari Machado to visit Bac Ninh province on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Cuban Committee for solidarity with South Vietnam (September 1963) and the 50th anniversary of Leader Fidel Castro Ruz's first visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Tuan also quickly informed the delegation on the province’s geographical location, rich history of Bac Ninh province with cultural sediments, academic tradition, and numerous typical cultural heritages of the country. Despite being the province with the smallest land area,Bac Ninh has become an electronics industry center with many socio-economic indicators among the top in the country.
Besides economic development, Bac Ninh province prioritized health, education, and social security with many support policies that exceeded the national average.

Tuan hoped that through the visit of the high-ranking delegation of Cuban National Assembly will provide new chances and channels of cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Cuban localities. At the same time, he pledged to follow through on the Central Government's directives on development cooperation with Cuba in the coming time, thereby contributing to cultivation of the unique and uncommon solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
The Secretary also hoped that the high-ranking delegation of Cuban National Assembly would create conditions for DABACO Vietnam Group to research and cooperate with Cuban businesses in the fields of high-tech agricultural production and vaccine production.

For her part, Vice President Maria Mari Machado congratulated and appreciated the province’s outstanding achievements over the past time. At the same time, she affirmed that the Cuban National Assembly would continue to strengthen and tighten relations with Vietnam in all fields, expand cooperation between Cuban localities and Vietnamese localities in general and Bac Ninh province in particular; create conditions for the province's businesses to cooperate, invest, produce and do business in areas where Cuba has strengths, thereby contributing to consolidating and promoting relations between the two countries.
