(BNP) – Continuing the working visit in Korea, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies worked with Mr. Kim Kil Soo, Chairman of the Korea & Vietnam Economic Cultural Association (KOVECA) on November 11.

At the working session, Mr. Kim Kil Soo said that KOVECA is a non-governmental organization that was established to strengthen the economic and cultural development between Vietnam and Korea as well as promote cooperation in diverse fields, including the economy, culture, society, education and youth, etc., thereby, bringing the relationship between two countries to a new level.

In recent years, KOVECA has strived to promote the cultural, artistic and economic exchanges, boost cooperation, and support Korean enterprises having the intention to invest in Vietnam; help multicultural families and the Vietnamese community in Korea; organize volunteer projects to help with the difficulties, and nurture as well as train the talents and so on.

Tuan joyfully briefed on Bac Ninh province’s recent achievements in socio-economic development with many economic indicators among the top in the country. Along with economic development, Bac Ninh is a convergence land of traditional cultural sedimentary values. This is both the driving force and the resource for Bac Ninh to develop sustainably while maintaining its unique cultural character, Tuan added.

Tuan emphasized the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Korea in general and Bac Ninh province in particular. He hoped that in the upcoming time, the KOVECA would pay attention and foster the exchange and cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Korean localities with many activities of exchanging information and experience in various fields; carry out activities to promote culture, heritages and people’s external relations. Furthermore, the KOVECA would support Bac Ninh province in speeding up and encouraging Korean enterprises to research investment in the province, especially in the fields such as the electronics industry, high technology, supporting industry, information technology, urban infrastructure development, ecotourism, entertainment and so on, Tuan stressed.
