Standing Vice Chairman inspects agricultural production in Gia Binh district

Standing Vice Chairman Tuan inspects the carrot growing area in Van Ninh commune.

Up to now, Gia Binh district basically achieved and exceeded the spring crop production plan. The whole district planted 3,691.2ha of rice, reaching 100% of the plan.

Inspecting the area of spring crops in Thien Duc hamlet, Van Ninh commune and the work of irrigation and drainage at Van Ninh pumping station, Tuan acknowledged and evaluated the initiative and positive the leadership of Gia Binh’s Party committee and authorities in agricultural production in the Spring crop, making Gia Binh become one of the first localities to complete the entire rice cultivation area within the cropping frame; especially the application of science and technology to agricultural production with many highly applied agricultural models in the area.

In the coming time, he asked Gia Binh district to continue directing the units and localities to guide farmers for the care and prevention of pests and diseases in the rice and crop areas as well as regularly monitor the weather situation, ensure enough water for production.
