(BNP) – On April 5, a delegation of the Department of Cinema (Vietnam) conducted a survey and assessment of film activities and mobile screening operations in Bac Ninh Province.

The delegation conducts an on-site survey at the Bac Ninh Provincial Cultural Center.

The delegation included Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan and Mr. Dang Tran Cuong. They worked with representatives of provincial agencies, including the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the report, mobile film screening activities in Bac Ninh have been maintained steadily since 1997, with 720–800 screenings organized annually, mainly serving rural, remote areas, industrial zones, and disadvantaged groups. The programs feature diverse content such as feature films, documentaries, and newsreels, combined with communication on Party guidelines and State policies. In 2025 alone, 720 screenings were conducted, attracting large audiences.

These activities play an important role not only in providing entertainment but also in raising public awareness, strengthening community cohesion, and enriching grassroots cultural life. However, challenges remain, including competition from modern entertainment platforms, outdated equipment, limited film resources, and insufficiently trained personnel.

At the session, provincial authorities proposed increased investment in infrastructure, improved film quality, and enhanced training for staff.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Dang Tran Cuong commended local efforts and emphasized that the survey would serve as a basis for proposing solutions to improve the effectiveness of mobile film screening nationwide, better meeting people’s cultural needs in the current context.
