Bac Ninh is among top 10 provinces in 2020 PCI
(BNP) - According to Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) report in 2020, Bac Ninh province ranks 10th among 63 provinces/cities at 66.74 points, down 6 ranks compared to 2019, making it in the group of the good quality provinces.

Specifically, Bac Ninh increases its score in 4 out of 10 sub-indices over PCI 2019 including: Entry costs, an increase of 0.16 points; Time costs, 1.19 points; Informal charges, 0.45 points; Business support services, 0.13 points.
Meanwhile, 06 sub-indices decreased including Land access, an decrease of 0.48 points; Transparency, 1.68 points; Policy bias, 1.05 points; Proactivity, 0.79 points; Labor policy, 0.21 points; Law and order, 0.96 points.
This time, Quang Ninh province remains first rank for the fourth consecutive year with 75.09 points; followed by Dong Thap with 72.81 points, Long An with 70.37 points and Bac Lieu with 59.61 points.
In the Red River Delta region, Bac Ninh province ranks the 4th after Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Ha Noi.
This is the 16th consecutive year that VCCI has released the PCI Index to assess and rank on the quality of economic governance, capacity and willingness of provincial governments to develop business, friendly regulatory environments and administrative reform efforts by Viet Nam’s provincial/city governments for private sector development.
The 2020 PCI report is based on feedback from nearly 12,300 businesses in Vietnam, including about 10,700 private businesses operating in 63 provinces and cities along with over 1,600 foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) operating in 22 provinces and cities throughout the country.
