Bac Ninh trade fair for OCOP products opens

Provincial leaders cut the ribbon to open the fair.

Participants at the event were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Vuong Quoc Tuan; Vice Chairman of the PPC Dao Quang Khai; Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Dinh Loi; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang; Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee Ta Dang Doan; Vice Chairman of the PPC Ngo Tan Phuong; leaders of the Departments, departments, branches, localities inside and outside the province.

Taking place from May 10 to 16, 2022, the Fair is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province, the 71th anniversary of traditional day of Industry and Trade (May 14, 1951 –2022) and welcome the 31st SEA Games. This is also an opportunity for OCOP product subjects, production and business enterprises inside and outside the province to promote and introduce their products, seek investment partners, sign economic contracts… to improve production capacity as well as compete in the market economy. At the same time, it is an opportunity to serve the needs of shopping and entertainment for people in the province.

With a scale of 350 booths, the Fair displays main products including agricultural products, seafood, processed foods, agricultural materials, production machinery and equipment, electricity, electronics, information technology, household appliances, garment products, craft village products, cultural and tourism products, handicrafts, regional specialties, etc.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Khai acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Department of Industry and Trade and related units in organizing the Fair. At the same time, he emphasized that the fair will facilitate the businesses inside and outside the province to exchange and cooperate in joint ventures, investment and trade promotion, technology innovation for sustainable business development, thereby, contributing to promoting the Campaign " Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods " as well as creating a driving force to promote and expand export markets, improve competitiveness in international economic integration.

At the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded certificates for 42 OCOP Bac Ninh products and 18 typical rural industrial products in Bac Ninh 2022.
