Boxing at National Sports Congress kicks off

(BNP) - On the evening of December 13, at the Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Boxing matches officially started in the program of the 9th National Sports Congress, 2022.


Athletes Nguyen Van Duong (blue shirt) Bac Ninh and Nguyen Tran Duc Loc (red shirt) Ho Chi Minh City.

Nearly 200 athletes (athletes) from 32provinces, cities and industries across the country participated in the Boxing competition. Athletes will compete in 27 weight classes (including  14 men’s weight classes, 13 women’s weight classes).

On the first day, there were 14 men's matches in weight classes from over 51kg to 92kg. In which, Da Nang 5:0 Quang Ngai; Bac Ninh 5:0 Ho Chi Minh City; Bac Ninh 5:0 People's Public Security; Ho Chi Minh City 5:0 Dak Lak; Binh Dinh 5:0 Hanoi; Military 5:0 Ho Chi Minh City; Thanh Hoa 5:0 Hau Giang; Army 5:0 Dong Nai; Quang Ninh 5:0 Hanoi.

Thus, on the first day of the start, Bac Ninh won 2 absolute victories when meeting Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Public Security.

According to the schedule, on December 14, 27 matches will continue to take place in the women's content of the weight classes from 42kg to 75kg.
