Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan suddenly inspected the investment project to build the extended Ly Anh Tong road, which is invested by the Bac Ninh Urban Development Management Board with a length of nearly 01 km and a total cost of VND 157 billion. Currently, the project has only been implemented for 200m due to problems with site clearance. On the morning of October 22, Bac Ninh city enforced land recovery for 36 households with plots of land in the fields of Hoa Dinh area, Vo Cuong ward to hand over the site to the investor.

Directly inspecting the site, the Chairman severely criticized and requested to review the responsibility of the leaders of the Bac Ninh Urban Development Area Management Board in the delay in project construction. He requested the Bac Ninh Urban Development Area Management Board to focus resources and equipment to speed up the project construction progress. He assigned Bac Ninh city to update the project construction progress to report to the Provincial People's Committee as well as mobilize people to promptly move the remaining graves within the project area.

The Chairman also inspected the progress of the implementation of package No. 5 of the Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital expansion investment project, which is invested by the Bac Ninh Civil and Industrial Construction Project Management Board (Department of Construction). After the contract implementation period was extended until December 31, the contractor consortium mobilized additional human resources and equipment to complete the package as planned. To date, the value of the construction volume has only reached 42.2% of the contract value; the total disbursed payment value has reached 46.6% of the contract value.

The Chairman frankly criticized the Management Board of civil and industrial construction investment projects, and pointed out that the supply of materials was not delivered on time, the number of construction workers did not meet the requirements as committed and the project completion schedule did not meet. He requested the investor to monitor and update payment records, make weekly disbursements and increase the number of workers on site to at least double the current level; organize scientific construction management, arrange construction teams to ensure parallel implementation, avoid overlap, and absolutely not extend the contract.

Also this morning, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan visited and inspected the project to preserve and rebuild Dam Pagoda in Nam Son Ward. Up to now, the Tam Bao, Mau House, To House, Tang House, and technical infrastructure at the IV foundation level have been completed; the remaining items such as the Nguyen Phi Y Lan Temple, corridors, railings, gardens, water supply and drainage systems, lighting, etc., are in the process of completion.

Tuan requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant departments, branches and sectors to complete procedures for adjusting the overall project, and speed up the construction progress of works on level IV foundation to ensure completion before the Lunar New Year 2025.

He also requested Bac Ninh City to prepare conditions and survey locations to relocate headquarters of agencies, schools, cemeteries as well as arrange resettlement areas for households within the scope of the Dam Pagoda relic space planning, creating a space for the implementation of other investment projects and aiming to build the Dam mountain area into an important focal point in the cultural, spiritual, and ecological tourism system of Bac Ninh.
