Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang receives General Director of Hyosung TNS Company

(BNP) – Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee on January 7 received and worked with Mr. Sohn Hyun Sik, General Director of Hyosung TNS Company (Korea) on investment exploration in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Sohn Hyun Sik thanked for the respectful welcome of the provincial leaders. He said that Hyosung TNS Company was established in 1979 specializing in the field of computers and manufacturing ATM. Currently, the Company has 02 factories in Korea and China with total revenue of more than USD 1 billion, ranking 3rd in the world in manufacturing and supplying hardware and software products to serve the sector of finance and bank. Orientation in 2023, the company will set up a factory in Vietnam to produce all products for the Company.

The Company selected Bac Ninh province to build a factory with an area of 10 hectares with an investment of about USD 100 million, creating jobs for 1,000 - 1,500 employees. Committed to bringing high technology and using 80% of raw materials produced in Vietnam, Mr. Sohn Hyun Sik hoped the provincial leaders to continue to care and support procedures, especially in recruiting high-quality labor for the company, thereby, it can start construction in the third quarter of 2020 and test in 2022.

At the reception, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang briefed on outstanding achievements of the province's socio-economic development. With favorable geopolitical position, synchronous infrastructure and many preferential and attractive investment policies, Bac Ninh has basically become an industrial province with many targets at the top of the country. Currently, the province has 10 out of 16 integrated industrial parks in operation, attracting more than 1,400 FDI projects from 34 countries and territories with a total capital of more than USD 18.4 billion, of which, Korea leads the way in a number of projects and investment capital.

The Chairwoman said that the province is deploying synchronous infrastructure investment in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park and VSIP II Industrial Park to continue receiving new investment flows, meeting the criteria of "2 less, 3 high" (less land, less labor; high investment capital, high budget contribution and high technology content). With the motto "Bac Ninh always accompanies enterprises", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee committed to create all favorable conditions and maximum support for businesses in accordance with the law.
