Chairwoman works with Japanese groups
(BNP) - On March 21, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang received and worked with Itochu Group and Yoshida Kaiun Group (Japan) on their intention to invest in the province.

Participants at the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dao Quang Khai; leaders of relevant departments and sectors.
Representatives from the two groups said that Itochu and Yoshida Kaiun are two large Japanese economic groups mainly in the fields of import-export business, trade and logistics with large investment scale and wide network all over the world. Currently, 02 these two groups work with many businesses and successfully operate logistics centers in the South of Vietnam.
In the coming time, they hoped that Bac Ninh province would pay attention and created conditions for them to invest more intensively in logistics projects in Yen Phong II-A Industrial Park and key projects in Bac Ninh.
For her part, Giang briefly introduced the geographical position and outstanding achievements in the province’s socio-economic development during recent years with many indicators among the top in the country. There are now 16 integrated industrial parks (IPs) in the province attracting a great number of large projects from 38 countries and territories; among which, Japan stands the second in terms of the number of enterprises
At the meeting, Bac Ninh’s participants answered the questions raised by the two groups such as the investment of technical infrastructure of the Logistics centers in industrial parks; costs of land rental and site clearance; expansion of land fund for logistics; labor resources in the province.
She assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to summarize the proposals the two groups at the meeting; the Department of Planning and Investment to study these proposals to advise the work in the coming time; Bac Ninh Power Company to directly work on the issues related to the its functions and tasks.
